Veg Omelette (Besan Cheela)
Ingredients:
1 cup Besan flour
¼ cup Onion
¼ Tomatoes
½ tsp grated Ginger
1 tsp chopped Coriander leaves
½ tsp Green chillies (Optional)
½ tsp Carom seeds (Ajwain)
Salt to taste
Directions:
Combine and mix all in the ingredients in a bowl
Add half a cup of water to the mixture and whisk it well.
Add enough water until the batter has a smooth, flowy consistency.
Whisk it until there are not any lumps seen.
Once the batter is ready, on a steel tawa (flat, round shaped pan) spread some ghee
coconut oil and pour some batter and spread it evenly using the back of a ladle.
Drizzle some oil around the edges and cover it with a lid for half a minute until it is
golden brown in colour.
Flip the cheela and let it cook from the other side without covering it until golden spots
are seen.
Take the cheela off the tawa and serve hot.
